Super Easy Garlic Parmesan French Rolls

Super Easy Garlic Parmesan French Rolls

Super Easy Garlic Parmesan French Rolls: As much as I enjoy baking homemade bread and rolls there are just some days I don’t have time to fool with it and a can of refrigerated dough can become something really delicious with just a few ingredients. I fixed these the other night to go with some pasta and they were super tasty.

We love our bread around here, if I don’t put some kind of bread on the table Don thinks I’ve done gone and put him on a diet or he’s in the doghouse. We both grew up with bread of some kind always being served with each meal from breakfast to supper. I woke up this morning and for some reason while I was trying to muster up the energy to get out of bed I got to thinking about those store bought packaged rolls I grew up eating a lot at family gatherings. You know, the ones that sometimes have a clover shape to them or just lines on top…Mama called them butter flake rolls. Come Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter or whatever we all gathered as a family for there would be four or five dozen of those rolls on sheet pans all buttered on top and ready for the oven. Bread was always the last thing to go in the oven so everyone had to wait for it to be done before we could eat. Still seems that way now too, suppers ready and we’re just waiting on the bread as we did with these rolls but they sure were worth the wait for a tasty side.

Ingredients

Super Easy Garlic Parmesan French Rolls

3 T. salted butter
1 T. parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. dried basil
1, 11 oz. pkg. refrigerated french bread (Pillsbury was what I used)

Instructions

Melt the butter in a microwave safe dish. Stir in the parmesan, garlic and basil. Remove the bread from the tube and cut it into 10 pieces. Roll each piece into a ball and dip into the butter mixture then place on a lightly greased sheet pan. You should still have some butter mixture leftover. Bake the rolls in a 350 degree oven for 10-12 minutes. Brush with remaining butter once out of the oven.
